Background The Western Area Power Administration is seeking a contractor to undertake the construction of Carpenter Substation, Stage 03, located in South Dakota. The agency's mission involves managing and delivering reliable, cost-based hydroelectric power and transmission services. This contract aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure by adding new transformer bays and rerouting existing lines. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary for the completion of the project. The principal components of work include: - Installing one (1) 230/115kV transformer bay; - Rerouting the 230kV Watertown #1 line to a new bay position; - Installing one (1) 115kV bay along with associated structures and electrical equipment; - Performing demolition work which includes removing one (1) 230kV take-off structure and its associated foundations. Period of Performance All work is to be completed within 360 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed in South Dakota.
