Site Visit

A site visit is scheduled is 5/7/2026 @9:30 am, the meeting place is the Cemetery Flagpole at Biloxi National Cemetery. The meeting for Vendors shall report to the Parking Lot upon arrival and must arrive on time. Vendors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to ensure a full understanding of the requirements. No additional or repeat site visits will be scheduled.

Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for tree maintenance services at Biloxi National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and care of trees within the cemetery, which is essential for maintaining the aesthetic and safety standards of the site. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for tree maintenance services including: tree removal, pruning, trimming, cabling, cavity repair, root pruning, and disposal of resulting waste and debris. Specifically, sixteen large trees are to receive routine pruning. A Certified Arborist must oversee the work to ensure compliance with specifications and proper conduct during operations. The work is categorized into size categories (small, medium, large) and maintenance categories (deadwood pruning, routine pruning, training pruning, removal). The contractor must also ensure that all work does not conflict with cemetery ceremonies and funerals. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from the award date until completion by the Government within a maximum period of sixty (60) calendar days.
