Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to repair a wastewater lift station at the Jackson Regional Office. The VA Jackson Regional Office operates a critical wastewater handling system, and the repair of one wastewater lift pump is essential for maintaining safe operations. This contract aims to ensure the continued functionality of the lift station by addressing necessary repairs. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, and other items necessary to perform the following tasks: 1. Remove Pump #1 from the West Lift Station control box. 2. Disconnect and remove necessary piping, electrical wiring, and pump-mounted hardware. 3. Off-site rebuild the pump with an estimated turnaround of 3-5 days. 4. Replace or refurbish worn or damaged internal components. 5. Reinstall the repaired pump and motor assembly. 6. Reconnect all piping and electrical lines in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards. 7. Conduct operational checks to confirm functional performance and system readiness. All work must be performed during normal business hours and coordinated with the VA's Representative (COR). The contractor must use OEM-equivalent or superior repair parts and ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) for electrical work. Period of Performance The project will commence upon award of the contract, with a repair lead time of 3-5 days from pump removal and final testing to be completed within 24 hours after reinstallation. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the VA Jackson Regional Office located at 1600 E. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS 39216.
