This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No quotes are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) USACE Mission Support Battalion (UMSB) has been tasked to solicit for and award a contract for bullet resistant glass for vehicle windshields, door windows, and rear cargo windows at Summit Point Training Facility, Summit Point, WV. A draft Purchase Description describing the supplies required has been attached. The proposed contract is expected to be a Firm Fixed Price contract procured below the simplified acquisition threshold. Interested SMALL BUSINESS vendors with NAICS code 336992, Military Armored Vehicle, Tank, and Tank Component Manufacturing, are encouraged to submit a capability package. The capability packages for this sources sought market survey are not expected to be quotes, but rather statements regarding the company's existing experience in relation to the areas specified in the attached document. This contract aims to enhance the safety and protection of vehicles used in training environments. The proposed contract is expected to be a Firm Fixed Price contract procured below the simplified acquisition threshold. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing bullet-resistant glass that meets specific ballistic standards, including NIJ Level III. The work includes: 1. Supplying two windshields that meet NIJ Level III specifications (38mm +/-5% and 21mm +/-5%) for Chevrolet Suburban models from 2009-2011. 2. Supplying door window glass that meets NIJ Level III BR6 (38mm +/-5%) or BR4 (21mm +/-5%) specifications for the same vehicle models. 3. Supplying rear cargo glass BR6 (38mm +/-5%) for Chevrolet Suburban 2009-2011. 4.
