Background

Work Details

The contractor will supply aluminum sign blanks that conform to the latest edition of ASTM B209 and shall be Alloy 5052-H38 or an approved equal or better alloy suitable for traffic sign applications. The specifications include: 1. Thickness and Fabrication Tolerances: Thickness must meet specified tolerances of ±0.002 inches; hole diameters and spacing must conform to industry standards. 2. Construction: Each sign blank must consist of a single piece of aluminum with smooth edges free from defects. 3. Surface Treatment: Sign blanks must receive a chromate conversion coating per ASTM B449, Class 2. 4. Packing and Shipping: Materials must be securely banded, clean, dry, and packaged to prevent damage during transit. Shipping pallets should extend beyond the edges of the largest sign blank.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and continue through April 30, 2028, with options to extend for four additional two-year periods.

The products will be delivered to the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered as vendors in the e-procurement portal and provide unit prices along with proposed delivery times.
