The City of Anaheim's Convention, Sports & Entertainment Department seeks to contract with multiple technical professional firms to establish a comprehensive team of engineering consultants. The goal is to support the Anaheim Convention Center and the City’s efforts in facility improvement and maintenance design services, project administration, inspection, assessment, and construction phase support services.
Consulting firms are required to provide expertise in various disciplines of professional engineering services. Firms do not need to offer all sub-disciplines but must indicate their competencies in the following areas:
- HVAC - Retro-commissioning - Electrical Engineering (including general, lighting, controls, low voltage)
- Plumbing - Architectural services
- LEED certification. Typical duties include preparation of plans and specifications for budgeted projects, architectural drafting and design, specification writing, on-site structural investigation and assessment, field verification and monitoring, compliance validation with regulations (environmental, industrial, ADA), and providing support during the bid/construction phase. Consultants will work on an 'as-needed' basis under the supervision of the Anaheim Convention Center or other department representatives.
The contract is anticipated to commence in July 2026 and continue through June 2028. The City has the option to renew the agreement for two additional terms through 2032.
Services will be performed at the Anaheim Convention Center located at 800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802.
Consultants must maintain a City of Anaheim business license during the term of the agreement. They are required to secure various types of insurance including: - Workers’ Compensation Insurance (minimum $1 million) - Commercial General Liability Insurance (minimum $2 million per occurrence) - Commercial Automobile Liability Coverage (minimum $2 million) - Professional Liability Insurance (minimum $2 million). Additionally, consultants must provide evidence of insurance coverage prior to commencing work.
