The County of San Diego is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing As-Needed Vehicle Repair, Maintenance, and/or Parts. The goal is to establish a standing list of qualified firms that can assist the County's General Services Fleet Management Division with routine vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance services. This contract aims to ensure that the County's fleet, which includes various types of vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, trucks, and buses, is maintained efficiently and effectively.
The contractor will provide a range of services including but not limited to: - Wheel alignment - Suspension repair - Heating/air conditioning services - Electric cart repair - Auto electrical systems maintenance - Small engine/pump repair - Hydraulic lift systems service - Mobile lock and key services - Radiator repair - Refrigeration mobile unit services - Generator services - Smog inspection and certification - Transmission service and repair - Truck body installation services - Upholstery work - Welding and fabrication services - Mobile repair for fire apparatuses - Fire pump testing - Ground ladder testing - Mobile tire service - Mobile detailing - Auto glass repair/replacement - Fire suppression equipment service - UTV services. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for these repairs and maintain a secure storage area for County vehicles.
The contract will be valid through September 14, 2028. The initial term runs until September 14, 2027 with an option for extension.
Services will be performed at various locations including the County Operation Center in San Diego and other designated facilities across the region.
Offerors must demonstrate qualifications including relevant licenses to operate in California for the specified services. They should also provide evidence of certifications for their personnel performing the work. Compliance with all necessary permits and licenses is mandatory. Additionally, Offerors must confirm that all parts provided under this contract will meet or exceed OEM warranty requirements.
