Background The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is procuring janitorial services for USCG Sector Humboldt Bay, located in McKinleyville, CA. The mission of USCG Sector Humboldt Bay is to ensure timely delivery of effective and integrated mission support during steady state and contingency operations. The goal of this contract is to maintain sanitary conditions and aesthetic appearance of federal property while ensuring the health and safety of federal employees and the public, in accordance with federal, environmental, safety, and health regulations. Work Details The contractor shall provide continuous, safe, and efficient janitorial services including supervision, labor, tools, materials, transportation, equipment, and all other necessary items or services. Specific tasks include: 1. Restroom and locker room service; 2. Waste collection, removal, and disposal; 3. Floor maintenance; 4. Surface maintenance; 5. Glass cleaning/maintenance. Cleaning expectations include maintaining a uniform clean appearance in all areas, vacuuming carpeted surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning/dusting surfaces in common areas and locker rooms, cleaning windows every two months, restocking restroom supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Services are to be performed twice per week during specified hours. Period of Performance The contract includes a base period of one year from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027 with four one-year option periods extending through September 30, 2031.
