Mississippi River, Baton Rouge to Gulf, Southwest Pass Hopper Dredge Contract No. 10-2026 (OM26010) The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge. Work will be performed in Mississippi River and Southwest Pass and possibly in other areas inside and outside of the New Orleans District. The magnitude of construction range for this Dredge project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. A bid opening date will be established in a future amendment. Background The Mississippi River, Baton Rouge to Gulf, Southwest Pass Hopper Dredge Contract No. 10-2026 (OM26010) is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The mission of this contract is to enhance navigation and maintain the waterway by performing dredging operations in the Mississippi River and Southwest Pass, with potential work in other areas within and outside of the New Orleans District. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish one fully crewed and equipped self-propelled trailing suction type hopper dredge. The scope of work includes: - Dredging operations in the Mississippi River and Southwest Pass. - Compliance with safety regulations including submission of an Accident Prevention Plan, daily inspections, and maintenance of safety signs. - Submission of a Dive Plan for any diving operations performed under the contract. - Implementation of emergency alarms and signals on floating plants. - Maintenance of records for daily inspections and corrective actions taken. - Provision of means of escape for personnel working on floating plants.
