This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W50S77-26-Q-0010. The 147 Attack Wing Base Contracting Office intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract F-16 Static Display Renovation. Background The 147 Attack Wing Base Contracting Office is issuing a solicitation for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract for the F-16 Static Display Renovation. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The goal of this contract is to refurbish static display aircraft that are on loan from the National Museum of the United States Air Force, which have not been maintained since 2006. Work Details The contractor shall perform a complete structural assessment, repairs, mounting the aircraft on plinths, and restoration/reapplication of paints through standard industry practices and applicable technical data. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, parts, tools, paint, equipment, appliances, transportation, and materials necessary to refurbish the static displays. Specific tasks include: 1. Inspecting the airframe and aircraft structures for corrosion, damage, or unsafe conditions. 2. Fabricating plinths to support each aircraft and lifting them approximately two inches off the ground. 3. Lifting or jacking the aircraft to place them on plinths and attaching tethers. 4. Replacing deteriorating aircraft tires. Period of Performance Performance shall begin within 30 days after notice of award and must be completed no later than 120 calendar days after receipt of order. Place of Performance All work will be performed at Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base (EFJRB) in Houston, Texas.
