Background The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) located in Albany, Oregon, has a requirement for Pest Control Services. The mission of the DOE is to ensure America's security and prosperity by addressing its energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges through transformative science and technology solutions. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive pest management services that protect the laboratory's property and ensure a safe working environment for employees. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive pest management services including: monthly inspections and treatments for insects and rodents, termite control, bird and bat control (including nesting removal), and other pest management services. An Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach will be utilized emphasizing prevention and non-chemical methods while judiciously using pesticides when necessary. Specific requirements include: - For insect control: Non-chemical methods such as exclusion, sanitation recommendations, and monitoring will be prioritized. Chemical treatments must be the least toxic and most targeted applications. - For rodent control: Tamper-resistant bait stations and trapping mechanisms are to be used; tracking powders or broadcast rodenticides are prohibited. Period of Performance Base Period of Performance is two years from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2028; Option 1 extends for two additional years from September 1, 2028 to August 31, 2030; Option 2 extends for one year from September 1, 2030 to August 31, 2031.
