Background The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is conducting market research for the Strategic Sealift Program Office. The goal of this solicitation is to gather information regarding the price and availability of U.S. and foreign flag Roll-On/Roll-Off (RO/RO) vessels capable of transporting military cargo, including helicopters, tracked and wheeled vehicles, and breakbulk. This request for information is intended to assist in developing future requirements and does not commit MSC to pay any costs incurred in the preparation or submission of responses. Work Details The contract involves a 90-day dry cargo time charter with options for two additional 90-day periods. The specific tasks include: 1. Providing vessels capable of carrying military cargo such as: A. 1x CH47 helicopter (609"L x 151"W x 227"H, 21 stons) B. 1x Recovery Vehicle (341"L x 144"W x 126"H, 69.6 stons) C. 1x Abram tank (362"L x 144"W x 118"H, 69.1 stons) 2. Delivery and redelivery ports are both located in Corpus Christi, Texas. 3. Interested parties must provide detailed information about their vessels including: A. Name and complete description of vessel(s). B. Daily charter hire rate and any delivery/redelivery bonuses. C. Fuel consumption rates (both underway and in-port working). D. Militarily useful square feet of vessel deck space. E. Vessel ramp door and main deck height. F. Number of supercargo the vessel can accommodate. G. Business size classification. H. Company’s unique entity identifier and business size. I. Confirmation of layday availability. J. Any other pertinent questions or comments.
