HISD Concessionaire Services

Background

The Harlandale Independent School District (HISD) is seeking proposals from qualified applicants to operate and provide Concessionaire Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage Services at various locations including the Harlandale Memorial Football Stadium, Frank Tejeda Sports Complex, and the Charles N. Boggess Center. This initiative aims to enhance the experience of attendees at events such as football, soccer, baseball, softball, and track meets while ensuring quality service and compliance with district regulations.

Work Details

The selected vendor will be responsible for: 1. Providing a range of food and non-alcoholic beverages as specified in 'Attachment C - Proposed Concession Food And Non-Alcoholic Beverage Price List'. 2. Listing their commission rate on 'Attachment B', with payments due to the District's Business Office by the 15th of each month. The commission rate must remain fixed throughout the contract term. 3. Not assigning or subcontracting any rights or obligations without prior written approval from HISD's Superintendent. 4. Supplying all necessary equipment and maintaining a clean work environment during events, ensuring all staff are properly trained and conduct themselves appropriately. 5. Obtaining all necessary permits and licenses at their own expense; failure to do so within 30 days of award may result in termination of the agreement. 6. Maintaining insurance coverage including Workers Compensation and General Liability with specific limits outlined in the proposal.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for one year from the Board Award Date, with three one-year renewal options subject to approval and funding availability.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at Harlandale Memorial Football Stadium, Frank Tejeda Sports Complex, and Charles N. Boggess Center located in San Antonio, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including: - Obtaining necessary permits and licenses; - Maintaining insurance coverage as specified; - Providing a notarized financial report monthly; - Adhering to a hold harmless clause protecting HISD from claims related to their operations; - Ensuring no subcontracting without HISD's approval.
