Background

The Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure (DOL) is seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified vendor for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. This initiative is part of the Leading by Example Clean Energy Grants for State Entities – Fleet EVSE Deployment 3.0 program, aimed at promoting clean energy and supporting the state's fleet of electric vehicles.

Work Details

The contract involves the purchase and installation of four, 40 Amp, dual-port, free-standing, non-networked, Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. The vendor will provide a turnkey solution that includes equipment, software, accessories, warranties, and three years of maintenance. The selected vendor must conduct site assessments at four domicile locations in Massachusetts: Hardwick, Worcester, Boxborough, and Saugus. Each location will require evaluation of existing electrical service and installation feasibility. The equipment must meet specific requirements including compatibility with the MoveEV program and UL- and ENERGY STAR® certification. Installation must comply with Massachusetts DOER Domicile EV Charging Program requirements and include marking each EV space as designated.

Period of Performance

The contract period is contingent upon grant funding approval and may be adjusted based on project budget constraints.

Place of Performance

The installations will take place at four domicile locations in Massachusetts: Hardwick, Worcester, Boxborough, and Saugus.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be current eligible vendors on Statewide Contract VEH122 in Category 1. For projects exceeding $25,000, contractors must adhere to payment bond requirements as per MGL Chapter 149, Section 29.
