The City of Sunnyvale is issuing this contract for the construction of the Evelyn Avenue Multi-Use Trail, Project No. TR-23-02. The project aims to enhance transportation infrastructure by installing a multi-use trail that connects bike and pedestrian facilities along West Evelyn Avenue, thereby supporting the city's mission to promote safe and accessible transportation options.
The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of the Evelyn Avenue Multi-Use Trail project. The scope of work includes: - Installing a multi-use trail on the north side of West Evelyn Avenue from South Bernardo Avenue to Mathilda Place. - Performing AC grinding and AC overlay. - Conducting minor concrete work. - Replacing curb ramps. - Applying AC pavement and slurry seal on AC pavement. - Constructing drainage facilities and bioretention areas. - Implementing signing and striping. - Adjusting utility boxes to finished grade. - Executing planting and irrigation as well as signal and conduit work. Bidders must meet specific requirements including: - Being licensed under Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of California for class 'A' or 'C-12' work. - Performing at least fifty percent (50%) of the contract price with their own organization. - Having completed a minimum of four (4) similar projects valued at no less than $1,500,000 each within the last five (5) years. - Submitting bid security amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount. - Adhering to safety regulations as outlined in California Labor Code Section 6707.
