Background

Greenville County is issuing this solicitation for the procurement and storage of geosynthetic materials intended for landfill base liner construction at the Twin Chimneys Landfill. The goal is to secure these materials ahead of the construction schedule to avoid delays due to material availability. The specific materials required include Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL), 60-mil High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), and Geocomposite materials. The contractor will not be responsible for the installation of these materials, as that will be addressed in a separate solicitation.

Work Details

The vendor shall provide the following geosynthetic materials: Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL), 60-mil HDPE, and Geocomposite. These materials must be procured, stored, and delivered to the Twin Chimneys Landfill by an approved geosynthetics installer or the manufacturer. The contractor is responsible for all coordination, offloading, and storage of these materials. Additionally, the contractor must submit manufacturer or supplier cost information as backup documentation for material cost bids at the time of contract issuance.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with South Carolina laws regarding business authorization and licensing. They are also required to provide proof of compliance with insurance requirements, including comprehensive general liability and worker's compensation insurance. Additionally, bidders must submit a completed COG Substitute W-9 form and confirm compliance with the Illegal Immigration Reform Act.
