Fire Protection Equipment and Supplies

Background

The State of Mississippi, through the Department of Finance and Administration, is seeking proposals for a nonexclusive, negotiated contract for Fire Protection Equipment and Supplies. This initiative aims to ensure that the state has access to high-quality fire protection equipment suitable for commercial, institutional, and governmental use. The goal is to establish a reliable source for essential fire safety products that meet or exceed industry standards.

Work Details

The contractor is required to provide a comprehensive line of fire protection equipment and related supplies, including but not limited to: - Fire extinguishers - Fire suppression system components - Detection devices - Alarms - Emergency lighting - Related accessories. All products must comply with applicable standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL), as well as federal, state, and local fire codes. The contractor must ensure compatibility with existing systems where specified by the purchasing agency.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on October 1, 2026, and will terminate on September 30, 2027. Pricing shall remain firm for a twelve-month period during this term.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the State of Mississippi, with delivery of products to designated locations as specified by the purchasing agency.

Bidder Requirements

Manufacturers must be registered with the State of Mississippi E-Procurement System (MAGIC) and submit a current W9 form. Proposals must include a signed letter from an authorized representative certifying that neither the manufacturer nor any potential subcontractors are debarred or suspended from submitting bids for contracts issued by any political subdivision or agency of the State of Mississippi. Additionally, vendors should indicate if they or any distributors listed are considered Minority Vendors.
