Oglethorpe County 911 is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a Next Generation 911 (NG911) call handling system. This system aims to enhance the current 911 technology infrastructure to meet the new requirements set forth by the State of Georgia. The Oglethorpe County 911 Center serves approximately 19,000 residents across 442 square miles and operates continuously with a small staff of dispatchers. The goal is to select a vendor that can deliver a reliable, secure, and standards-compliant NG911 solution that improves call handling efficiency and interoperability while being budget-friendly for a small public safety answering point (PSAP).

Work Details

The vendor shall provide a comprehensive NG911 solution that includes: - NG911 call handling software and licensing - IP-based call routing and ESInet connectivity - Text-to-911 capability - Location information services (LIS) and GIS integration - System installation and configuration - Testing, cutover, and go-live support - Training for dispatchers, supervisors, and administrators - Ongoing maintenance, support, and upgrades. The system must support NG911 voice calls using SIP, handle wireline, wireless, and VoIP calls seamlessly, allow future multimedia support without replacement, provide configurable call queuing, and ensure geographic redundancy with failover capabilities. Compliance with NENA i3 standards and applicable FCC NG911 requirements is mandatory.
