Background

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the bathhouse at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park. The project aims to enhance the facilities available to visitors and ensure compliance with current standards.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for replacing the existing bathhouse, which includes the following tasks: 1. Protecting existing concrete posts unless directed otherwise by the Owner. 2. Revising grading plans to retain trees south of the bathhouse. 3. Managing utility costs for water and electricity during construction, with monthly electric charges estimated between $150-200. 4. Ensuring that the campground remains closed until construction is completed. 5. Providing temporary project signage as per 'Instruction to Bidders'. 6. Installing a bonded waterproof membrane system for showers instead of traditional shower pans. 7. Coordinating with Clay Electric for electrical connections and ensuring complete utility connections for laundry units, which will be procured and installed by the park.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon bid acceptance and must be completed within a specified timeframe set forth in subsequent communications from the agency.
