Background

The Board of Education of the City of Chicago, known as Chicago Public Schools (CPS), is seeking to establish a pool of suppliers for PK-12 curriculum development, revision, translation, and evaluation services. This initiative aligns with CPS's mission to ensure high-quality educational resources that drive academic progress for all students across diverse neighborhoods. The goal is to enhance the existing Skyline digital curriculum by incorporating licensed content and customization that meets common development standards.

Work Details

The contract encompasses three main categories of services: 1) Curriculum Development and Revision Services, which includes creating comprehensive curricular resources such as scopes and sequences, course overviews, unit plans, lesson guides, assessments, and resources tailored for various content areas including English language arts, mathematics, science, social sciences, and more. 2) Curriculum Translation Services aimed at translating curricular resources into multiple languages including Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, and others. 3) Curriculum Evaluation Services that involve developing evaluation tools aligned with CPS's definition of high-quality curriculum and conducting formative and summative evaluations across various grade bands. All deliverables must be provided digitally within CPS's technical ecosystem.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon execution and will continue for a period of two years with an option for renewal for one additional two-year term.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the Chicago Public Schools district.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must comply with MBE/WBE participation goals as outlined in the Board’s Remedial Program for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Participation in Goods and Services Contracts. Additionally, respondents must provide evidence of appropriate licenses to operate in Illinois and adhere to insurance requirements specified in the solicitation.
