Background

Richland School District Two is seeking to procure portable two-way radios to enhance communication capabilities within the district. The goal of this contract is to acquire 15 units of Kenwood NX-3320K2FTK radios that meet specific technical specifications for immediate operational use.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of 15 Kenwood NX-3320K2FTK Portable Radios. The radios must be new, unused, and meet or exceed the following specifications:

Frequency Band

UHF (400–520 MHz) - Minimum 260 channels with multi-zone capability

Digital Protocols

NXDN and DMR compliant - Conventional FM analog operation capability

Output Power

4–5 Watts (UHF) - Full-color LCD display with programmable interface - High-output audio (minimum 1W) with noise reduction - Built-in voice inversion and digital encryption capability (AES optional) - MIL-STD 810 C/D/E/F/G and IP67 water/dust resistance rating - Lithium-ion battery with minimum 10–12 hour operational capacity - Integrated GPS capability (if included in model variant) - Built-in Bluetooth for wireless accessories - Emergency features including emergency button, lone worker, and man-down capability. Accessories must include a standard antenna, rechargeable battery, rapid-rate charger, and belt clip. The radios must be in stock and available for immediate shipping, with delivery required by May 28, 2026.

Period of Performance

The period of performance for this contract is from May 8, 2026 (quote release date) until May 28, 2026 (delivery date).

Place of Performance

The radios are to be delivered to Richland School District Two at 124 Risdon Way, Columbia, SC 29223.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must confirm that the fifteen radios are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Additionally, they must provide a copy of their W9 form and confirm that they have not been disbarred or suspended from conducting business in South Carolina. Bidders are also required to certify that their quote is fair and without collusion.
