Construction of Old Howard Road Realignment, Wendland Road Extension, and Northlink Drive

Background

The City of Temple, Texas is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the Old Howard Road realignment, Wendland Road Extension, and Northlink Drive. This project aims to enhance infrastructure in the North Industrial Park by including storm drain, water, and wastewater systems. The engineer’s estimate for the total cost of this project is $21,630,000. The selected contractor will be expected to complete the work within 540 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for all labor and materials necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Realignment of Old Howard Road. 2. Extension of Wendland Road. 3. Construction of Northlink Drive. 4. Installation of storm drainage systems. 5. Installation of water and wastewater systems in accordance with city specifications. 6. Erecting project identification signage at major entrances to the project site as per Section CIP15, including: - Sign face made from waterproof plywood or approved material with high-quality color graphics. - 4x4 pressure-treated wooden posts for signage installation. - Compliance with painting specifications as indicated on plans. 7. Maintenance and relocation of signs during construction as necessary.

Period of Performance

The contract work must be completed within 540 consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Temple, Texas, specifically in the North Industrial Park area.

Bidder Requirements
