Augusta-Richmond County is seeking bids for landscaping services for the Highland Avenue and North Max Hicks Water Treatment Plants on behalf of the Augusta Utilities Department. The goal of this contract is to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of the landscaping at these facilities, ensuring they are well-kept and visually appealing.

Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn maintenance services, including: - Mowing lawns twice a month from March to November - Vacuuming twice a month from December to February - Aerating and overseeding in November - Edging every two weeks - Cleaning up grass clippings and debris after each service Additionally, the contractor must provide mulch/pine straw twice a year, apply herbicides quarterly, fertilize trees and shrub beds in March and September, and perform pruning as needed. All necessary equipment, tools, labor, and materials must be supplied by the contractor. Specific requirements include maintaining a minimum of three inches of mulch at all times, using only approved chemicals for weed control, and ensuring that all work complies with safety standards.

Period of Performance

The contract term is for one year starting July 1, 2026, with four optional one-year renewal periods.

The services will be performed at the Highland Avenue Water Treatment Plant located at 2835 Central Ave, Augusta, GA 30909 and the North Max Hicks Water Treatment Plant located at 1731 Tobacco Rd, Augusta, GA 30906.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Commercial Pesticide Applicators License and a valid Commercial Pesticide Business License. All licenses must remain valid throughout the duration of the contract. Bidders are required to submit copies of these licenses with their bid packages.
