Construction of Sports-Themed Splash Pad Facility

Background

The City of Summerville, Georgia, is seeking sealed proposals from qualified aquatic recreation and splash pad design-build firms for the construction of a new sports-themed splash pad facility. The goal is to create a 3,464 square foot facility that features durable poly-coated FunForm play elements and a modern flow-through water management system. This project aims to enhance recreational opportunities for the community and promote family-oriented aquatic play environments.

Work Details

The selected contractor will provide comprehensive services including design, engineering, equipment procurement, site preparation, excavation, installation, and commissioning of the splash pad. The facility will feature a round reinforced concrete slab with a slip-resistant broom finish and UV-stable polyurea safety coating. The project must include interactive sports-inspired spray features manufactured by Water Odyssey™/Fountain People, Inc., which must meet ASTM safety standards and be ADA compliant. Specific components include: 1. Anchor Base: Type 304 stainless steel with bonding/grounding connection. 2. Distribution Manifold: 4" type 304 stainless steel pipe with various valves and gauges. 3. Dynamic Sequencing Controller: Custom programmable controller for aquatic play area. 4. Various Fun Forms™ components designed for children of all ages with specific hydraulic requirements and interactive water effects.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the proposal process.

Bidder Requirements
