2026 Screven County Road Improvements

Background

The Screven County Commissioners are issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Screven County Road Improvements Project. The goal of this contract is to enhance local infrastructure by resurfacing county roads, which aligns with the agency's mission to maintain and improve transportation facilities within the county.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the resurfacing of approximately 16.5 miles of County roads with asphalt. Specific tasks include: - Providing bituminous tack coat - Patching - Leveling - Overlay - Striping - Traffic control The total time allotted for completion of work is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days.

The work is expected to be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the start date.

The project will take place in Screven County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds must be from a surety company licensed in Georgia with an 'A' minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required from the successful bidder if awarded the contract. Contractors must also comply with E-Verify regulations.
