The goal of this contract is to restore the structural integrity of the gymnasium floor, which has deteriorated due to heavy weightlifting activities, ensuring safe operation and extending the service life of the facility. Work Details The contractor shall complete the following tasks: 1. Demolish and safely remove the existing deteriorated concrete slab-on-grade beneath the gymnasium floor. 2. Prepare a work plan for the MSGR Gym Slab-on-grade repairs project, which must be approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). 3. Construct a new reinforced concrete slab-on-grade designed to withstand repetitive heavy impact loads associated with weightlifting activities. 4. Pour blinding concrete of 100 mm thickness using 350 kg of cement per cubic meter mixed with gravel and sand, compacted as specified. 5. Pour concrete at a thickness of 200 mm (0.49 ft) with a strength of 23 MPA after 7 days; premixed concrete will be provided by the government while rebar (type 8) and associated materials are to be furnished by the contractor. 6. Pressure wash the concrete slab to remove debris in preparation for gym flooring installation, which must be performed according to manufacturer instructions by an experienced installer. 7. Conduct final deep cleaning of the gym room environment before handover to COR. Period of Performance The contractor shall commence work promptly and achieve final completion and acceptance, including final cleanup, within 12 business days. Place of Performance All work will be performed onsite at the Marine Security Guards’ Residence.
