Background The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) is seeking information for high-hazard waste management services. DEVCOM CBC's mission includes the safe treatment and disposal of chemical and biological agents, as well as other hazardous materials. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights from potential vendors to inform acquisition planning and procurement strategies related to hazardous waste disposal services. Work Details The contract will involve the management of high-hazard waste, including planning, packaging, transportation, treatment, and disposal of waste contaminated by chemical agents, biological agents, or other hazardous compounds. Specific tasks include: 1. Providing subject matter expertise for high-hazard waste management. 2. Packaging wastes in Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers. 3. Arranging transportation of waste from generation sites to treatment facilities. 4. Utilizing a Rotary Kiln Incinerator for the treatment of all chemical, biological, and high-hazard waste unless otherwise approved. 5. Maintaining all required permits from local authorities and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. 6. Coordinating with external stakeholders regarding operations and shipments. 7. Developing plans for onsite decontamination/treatment operations as needed. Period of Performance The contract will have an ordering period of sixty months from the effective date of award, with specific periods of performance defined in individual task orders. Place of Performance Work may be performed both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).
