Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is issuing this Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes regarding the Garnet Hill Recreation Area Improvement project located in White Pine County, Nevada, approximately 6 miles west of Ely, NV. The purpose is to assess industry interest and capabilities related to the construction requirements for improving recreational infrastructure. Work Details The project requires all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to enhance the Garnet Hill Recreation Area. Key tasks include: improvements to access roads, trailheads, campgrounds, parking areas, signage, ADA-accessible features, picnic/day-use areas, vault toilets, and related site amenities. Base work involves expanding and improving the Garnet Hill Main Trailhead and constructing upper and lower campgrounds with single/group campsites, vault toilets, picnic areas, kiosks, and associated infrastructure. Additive work includes enhancements to Egan Crest, Keystone Junction, and Lackawanna Road trailheads as well as improvements on Pole Line Road including widening, Arizona crossings, and riprap slope stabilization. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance for this contract is expected to be completed by December 2027. Seasonal weather restrictions may limit on-site construction activities from November through May each year. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the Garnet Hill Recreation Area in White Pine County, Nevada.
