Crane Services

Background

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is seeking proposals for Crane Services under RFP No. 16379.GH. The goal of this contract is to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to support SMUD's crane equipment needs, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. The contractor will be expected to prioritize this contract as it is essential for the overall work being conducted by SMUD.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary for crane services, including but not limited to: equipment delivery, safety devices, maintenance, repair, and replacement of crane equipment. Services will be executed through written Task Orders issued by SMUD’s Contract Manager. Each Task Authorization will detail the work description, estimated cost, time required, and any extraordinary project parameters. Monthly reports on task status are required from the contractor. Invoices must be submitted within 90 days of task completion. Costs exceeding the approved task value will not be reimbursed.

Period of Performance

The contract duration is approximately three years with two one-year options subject to SMUD's Board of Directors' approval of the annual budget.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at locations designated by SMUD within its operational territory.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must be licensed under California law and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. A Bid Bond or certified check equal to 10% of the proposal amount is required. Proposers must comply with SEED Program requirements for small business participation and submit a Safety Compliance Certificate with their proposal.
