Used Excavator

Background

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) is seeking bids for the procurement of a used excavator to be utilized at the UCM Farm for various excavation tasks including site preparation, land clearing, and truck loading. The goal of this contract is to acquire equipment that meets specific operational requirements and safety regulations.

Work Details

The contract involves providing one used excavator that meets the following specifications: - Model year: 2019 or newer - Maximum operating hours: 5,000 - Weight: between 20 tons and 30 tons - Engine power: minimum of 160 HP, 6-cylinder diesel - Track length: minimum of 14 feet - Transport height: maximum of 10 feet - Steel tracks with at least 70% wear remaining - All hydraulic mechanisms must be operational without leaks. The excavator must also include a bucket attachment (36" width, 4-6 teeth, hydraulic coupler) and a thumb attachment plumbed to a hydraulic port. Additionally, the vendor must provide maintenance records and an operator's manual. Compliance with all safety regulations is required.

Period of Performance

The expected timeline for this contract includes bid issuance on May 6, 2026, with responses due by May 20, 2026. An award announcement is anticipated within 24 hours post-bid close, followed by a purchase order issuance within three days.

Place of Performance

The excavator will be delivered to UCM Prussing Farm located at 454 E. Division Road, Warrensburg, MO 64093.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide documentation confirming they are not debarred from participation in government contracts. Successful bidders will need to register in the UCM Supplier Management system if awarded the contract. Insurance coverage for the equipment until delivery and acceptance by UCM is mandatory.
