TDCJ-Dalby Trash Services

Background

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a blanket purchase order (BPO) for the rental of a 30-yard compactor. This service includes the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste from the Dalby Unit located in Post, Texas. The goal of this contract is to ensure efficient waste management services at the facility. The term of this BPO is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: 1. Rental of one 30-yard compactor for a duration of 12 months. 2. Collection, transportation, and disposal of waste from the compactor, estimated at 36 haul loads during the contract period. 3. All costs related to delivery and pickup of containers must be included in the unit price. 4. The contractor must ensure that all rental equipment is maintained in safe and operational condition throughout the rental term.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on September 1, 2026, and will conclude on August 31, 2027. There are options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Dalby Unit, located at 8055 N North Avenue F, Post TX, 79356.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must demonstrate qualifications including: 1. At least five years of experience in providing similar services. 2. Ability to obtain required commercial insurance as specified in the solicitation. 3. Compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) certification requirements. 4. Capability to commence operations without financial assistance from TDCJ. 5. Must not have any subcontracting opportunities available as per Texas Government Code 2161.252.
