Background

Clackamas County, through its Board of County Commissioners, is issuing an Invitation to Bid for the Jail Electronic System Update Remodel Project. The project aims to enhance the electronic systems at the Clackamas County Jail, ensuring improved security and operational efficiency. The estimated budget for this project is $3,000,000.

Work Details

The contract involves the provision of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the completion of the Jail Electronic System Update Remodel. Key components include: - Installation of PLC-based systems integrating microprocessor-based intercom and 1080P CCTV video systems with door monitoring control. - Systems must be controlled from touch screen graphical user interfaces preferably within a detention center. - Installation of twenty-four (24) new exterior cameras and nine (9) new interior cameras as specified in Section 28 2330 – Detention Video Surveillance System.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must reach substantial completion by December 1, 2027, with final completion by December 31, 2027.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed at the Clackamas County Jail located at 2206 Kaen Road, Oregon City, Oregon.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have prior experience with low voltage security systems and provide evidence of having successfully completed similar projects. Bids must be submitted electronically via Bid Locker; email submissions are not accepted. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to engage with Minority, Women, and Emerging Small Businesses (M/W/ESB) and are required to submit Good Faith Effort documentation.
