Alma Helitack Base Jet A Fuel Line Repair

Background

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Alma Helitack Base Jet A Fuel Line Repair. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintain emergency response readiness, and protect public safety and the environment. Properly functioning fuel systems are critical for CAL FIRE's aviation operations, including wildfire suppression and rescue missions.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to repair and replace the Jet A fuel line at the Alma Helitack Base. This includes ensuring that the fuel line meets all applicable regulations to support CAL FIRE's operational readiness.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bid submission schedule.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the CAL FIRE Alma Helitack Base located at 19650 Old Santa Cruz Highway, Los Gatos, CA 95033.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to do business in California with a valid A-General Engineering Contractor and C36-Plumbing Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB). Bidders must also provide proof of registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations if their bid is $15,000 or more. Participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is encouraged but not required. Additionally, bidders must comply with prevailing wage laws if the total bid exceeds $1,000.
