General Building Job Order Contracts License B

Work Requested

The City is seeking qualified contractors to provide General Building services under multiple Job Order Contracts (JOC), specifically requiring a B License. The scope of work includes: - Managing and completing various JOC projects as assigned by the City - Jointly scoping each project with the City - Reviewing and responding to Detailed Scope of Work documents prepared by the City - Submitting Job Order Proposals for each assigned project These contracts will be awarded using the Best Value Job Order Contracting project delivery method. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to comply with all relevant policies and requirements throughout the duration of the contract.

Background

The City intends to award multiple General Building Job Order Contracts (B License only) as a result of this Invitation to Bid. The Best Value Contractor(s) will be selected in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 20155.3. Once contracts are executed, project-specific Job Orders will be issued as projects are identified.

Contract Requirements

The selection process involves two steps: - Prequalification: Contractors must submit documentation demonstrating their experience and competency to manage and complete JOC projects, disclose safety records, provide necessary financial information, and show compliance with Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and Secretary of State Office requirements.

Bid Submission

Contractors who are prequalified will receive a Prequalification Notice Letter and a specified date for the opening of their sealed bids by the governing body. The final selection will be based on a combination of the prequalification score and the lowest responsible and responsive bid. Bidders must complete both steps to be eligible for contract award.

Interested contractors should participate in the two-step process: - Submit prequalification materials as required for evaluation by the committee. - If prequalified, submit a sealed bid by the date specified in the Prequalification Notice Letter.
