Scope of Work

SDCOE is seeking proposals from qualified and licensed transportation providers to deliver comprehensive student transportation services for foster youth. The work includes: - Scheduling, dispatching, and routing of student transportation - Staffing and supervision of transportation personnel - Daily operations management - Furnishing, operating, and maintaining all vehicles, personnel, and equipment required for service - Providing backup drivers and vehicles as needed - Accommodating specialized transportation needs

Contract Background

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to secure a contract for student transportation services specifically supporting foster youth. The contract will be awarded using a best-value methodology, with the intention to select the responsible and responsive proposer whose submission is most advantageous to SDCOE, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP. Award decisions will not be based solely on price.

Contract Requirements

The selected contractor must: - Be fully qualified and licensed to provide student transportation services - Supply, operate, and maintain all necessary vehicles, equipment, and personnel - Ensure availability of backup drivers and vehicles - Meet all requirements for specialized accommodations as needed for foster youth
