The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) are seeking to procure American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary communication support for CDCR/CCHCS staff through in-person and/or virtual ASL interpreting services, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
The Contractor will provide all labor, maintenance, travel, per diem, parts, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, equipment, and janitorial supplies containing post-consumer recycled paper products necessary for the ASL interpreting services. Services must be performed during normal business hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays. A minimum of one interpreter will be assigned for each appointment with a two-hour minimum charge per appointment. The Contractor must confirm acceptance of assignments within 48 hours and notify CDCR/CCHCS at least 48 hours in advance if unable to provide services as scheduled. The Contractor is responsible for billing at hourly rates specified in the Rate Sheet (Exhibit B-1), which will be included upon contract award.
The term of this contract is from July 1, 2026 (or upon approval, whichever is later) through June 30, 2029.
Services will be provided at various locations identified in Exhibit A-2 – List of Participating Locations including multiple buildings in Elk Grove, Sacramento Depot Park, Fresno Office, Bakersfield Office, Rancho Cucamonga Office, Santa Ana Office, and Diamond Bar Office. ASL interpreting services outside Sacramento and San Joaquin counties will be provided exclusively via Video Remote.
The Contractor must adhere to minimum qualifications as set forth in Solicitation # SD25-00025. Additionally, the Contractor must comply with the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements as outlined in Military and Veterans Code Section 999 et seq., including reporting on small business participation upon completion of the contract.
