Moulton Plant Roofing Project

Background

The City-County of Butte-Silver Bow is seeking sealed bids for the Moulton Water Treatment Plant Roofing Project. The project aims to replace three existing roofs at the facility, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards. The City-County's mission is to maintain and improve public infrastructure. This roofing project is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance the functionality and safety of municipal facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Tear off and dispose of three existing roofs. 2. Tear off and dispose of roof underlayment. 3. Inspect the deck and repair up to 15% as required. 4. Prepare the entire deck with a minimum of 4 inches of insulation using ISO Roof Recovery panels or equivalent. 5. Secure deck membrane with a minimum thickness of .060ml, ensuring it is mechanically attached with heat-welded seams. 6. Install parapet flashing that is fully adhered, with terminations extending over the sides. 7. Ensure flashing and trim colors are approved by the Water Treatment Manager or his designee. 8. Re-fit existing drains to match existing pipe inner diameter if required. 9. Band all pipes, flues, and penetrations as necessary. 10. Caulk where required to ensure waterproofing integrity. 11. Provide manufacturer's written warranty for materials used in the project. 12. Obtain all necessary permits, including those related to asbestos and installation inspections.

Period of Performance

The contract is scheduled to be awarded on May 27th, 2026, with a notice to proceed issued thereafter. Substantial completion of work must be achieved by September 30th, 2026, with final completion required within fifteen (15) days following substantial completion.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Moulton Water Treatment Plant located at 2105 N Main St., Butte, Montana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold a proper Montana Certificate of Construction Registration Number for the class of work involved in this project and possess a Butte-Silver Bow Business License prior to bid acceptance. Additionally, subcontractors performing work greater than $1,000 must also hold a valid Montana Certificate of Contractor Registration Number.
