Univ. of Washington, Pizza Dough and Sauce Supply

Background

The University of Washington is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the production and delivery of refrigerated premade pizza dough balls and pizza sauce. This contract supports their Housing & Food Services (HFS) operations, which include three locations on campus serving fresh baked pizza to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The goal is to provide high-quality ingredients that meet specific dietary needs, including gluten-free options.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for producing and delivering the following items: refrigerated premade pizza dough balls and pizza sauce. The pizzas are primarily sold by the slice, with whole pies also available. Gluten-free pizzas must be available in a smaller size. Additionally, products must be manufactured/packaged in a Pacific Northwest facility within 250 miles of Seattle. Vendors must verify the type of oils used in their recipes and provide allergen information as required. Packaging must not contain Styrofoam or PFAS substances. Vendors are also required to provide detailed invoices for each delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract period will begin with deliveries starting in early September 2026, following the award of the contract in mid-summer 2026.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made directly to the University of Washington's three Housing & Food Services locations on campus.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a delivery vehicle capable of direct delivery to the University of Washington and have been in the pizza-related business for at least two years. They must demonstrate the ability to produce and deliver projected volumes and provide references. Vendors are required to send product samples upon request and maintain accurate invoicing practices for deliveries across multiple locations.
