Background The Siuslaw National Forest, under the jurisdiction of the USDA, requires road maintenance services throughout the Central Coast Ranger District and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of roads within these areas, supporting both environmental stewardship and public access. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for various road maintenance tasks including: 1) Surface Maintenance with Roller Compaction (12 miles), 2) Spot Surfacing using Commercial Source (2300 cubic yards), 3) Asphalt Surface Maintenance (400 tons), 4) Cleaning Ditches & Drainage Structures (25 miles), 5) Cutting Roadway Vegetation (39 miles), 6) Trash Removal from Sites (9 each), 7) Fabricating and Installing Vehicle Gates (2 each), 8) Installing Earthen Berm Barriers (13 each), 9) Installing 24” CMP (40 feet), 10) Full Depth Asphalt Reclamation (300 feet), and 11) Mobilization (1 lump sum). The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary for these tasks. A Contractor Work Plan must be submitted within seven days of award detailing technical approaches, equipment requirements, safety plans, and quality control measures. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 1st, 2026 to May 30th, 2027. Place of Performance The work will take place at various locations within the Central Coast Ranger District and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
