Background

The Procurement Division of Knox County, Tennessee is seeking bids for Kitchen Equipment Maintenance and Repair services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment used in the Knox County Detention Facility and the Knox County Work Release Center, thereby supporting the operational needs of these facilities.

Work Details

The vendor will provide all materials, parts, labor, expertise, and supervision necessary for the maintenance and service of kitchen equipment as specified in Attachment A. Services include: - Conducting two major inspections per year (one in October and one in March) on all equipment. - Performing quarterly operating checks which include checking refrigerant charge, cleaning air filters, inspecting electrical connections, lubricating moving parts, and conducting visual inspections for leaks. - Responding to service calls within a specified time frame (within two hours). - Notifying the Knox County Sheriff’s Office if any equipment cannot be repaired due to structural integrity or parts availability. - Providing a schedule for inspections and submitting inspection reports to the Sheriff’s Office. - Stating percentage mark-up or discount for replacement parts and whether these are included in annual maintenance costs.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for one year with options to renew for up to four additional one-year periods based on mutual consent.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Knox County Detention Facility and the Knox County Work Release Center located on Maloneyville Road in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the Knox County Procurement Division prior to submitting their bid. Vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the insurance checklist.
