Background

The Port of Longview is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Q2 Rail Materials Purchase under Project No: 26-040-MESS. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure materials that will be installed by others, supporting the Port's operational needs.

Work Details

The contract involves the purchase of various rail materials, specifically: 1. Wood Rail Ties: - 8'-6' Treated Wood Rail Tie (100 EA) - 9' Treated Wood Rail Tie (35 EA) - 10' Treated Wood Rail Tie (110 EA) - 11' Treated Wood Rail Tie (100 EA) - 12' Treated Wood Rail Tie (35 EA) - 13' Treated Wood Rail Tie (30 EA) - 14' Treated Wood Rail Tie (25 EA) - 15' Treated Wood Rail Tie (40 EA) - 16' Treated Wood Rail Tie (40 EA) - 17' Treated Wood Rail Tie (30 EA) 2. Concrete Rail Ties: - 'c' Spring Clips (780 EA) 3. Additional rail materials including: - 136RE Rail as Specified, Drilled with specific dimensions (343 TON) - 136RE 6-Hole Joint Bars (96 PAIR) - Track Bolts with Heavy Squarehead Nuts and Plain Washers (1,145 EA) - Switch Turnout Package including NO. 9 Frog and Double Reinforced Knife Blade Switch Points (4 EA) - Screw Spikes (500 EA) - Cedar Tie Plugs (2 BND).

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by May 22, 2026.

Place of Performance

The materials will be delivered to the Port of Longview located at 10 International Way, Longview, WA 98632.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit their bids on the provided forms and are required to bid on all items in a schedule but are not required to bid on all schedules. Vendors must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Additionally, participation from Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises is encouraged.
