2026 Fender Pile Materials Purchase

Background

The Port of Longview is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the purchase of fender pile materials as part of Project No: 26-037.1-MESS. The purpose of this contract is to procure materials that will be installed by others, specifically focusing on the supply of Douglas Fir fender piles.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of the following items: - 25 units of 85-foot peeled, green (untreated) Douglas Fir fender piling with a minimum diameter of 16 inches (3 feet from the butt) and a minimum diameter of 8 inches at the tip; - 26 units of 90-foot peeled, green (untreated) Douglas Fir fender piling with similar specifications. All bids must include unit prices and cover all duties, handling, and transportation charges. Vendors must comply with all specifications outlined in Attachment C.

Period of Performance

The bids are due by May 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (PT). The contract will be executed following the award decision.

Place of Performance

The delivery location for the materials is specified as Port of Longview, located at 10 International Way, Longview, WA 98632.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must submit their bids using the provided Bid Form (Attachment A). There are no Buy American requirements for this purchase. Vendors are encouraged to participate in this solicitation as Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (MWBE), although no minimum participation level is required for bid evaluation.
