Summer Camp Transportation

Background

The City of New Orleans, through the Office of Procurement, is seeking a reliable, insured, and safe transportation company to provide transportation services for the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORD) direct-run summer camps. The goal of this contract is to facilitate transportation for field trips during the 2026 summer programs season.

Work Details

The contractor will provide transportation services for various field trips for summer camps. Specific requirements include: 1. Transportation for Milne Camp: 14 trips over 7 weeks with 2 bus rotations from Milne Rec. Center to Federal City pool and Treme pool. 2. Transportation for Cut Off Camp: 14 trips over 7 weeks with similar logistics as Milne Camp. 3. A total of 48 field trips within the greater New Orleans area, including destinations such as Airline Skate, Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium, Mosquito Pest Control, Joe W. Brown Park, City Park Carousel Gardens, TEP Museum/City Park, and New Orleans Public Library. 4. Vendors must provide a point of contact with phone number and email address, bus safety and emergency protocols, proof of valid insurance, and cost of service.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed during the summer program season of 2026.

Place of Performance

Transportation services will be provided within the greater New Orleans area.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must register as a supplier with the City of New Orleans' procurement platform BRASS. They must also comply with living wage requirements as per City Code and demonstrate DBE participation as mandated by local ordinances.
