Background The U.S. Army, specifically the 99th Readiness Division, is seeking to procure refuse collection and recycling services to support operations at the Allegany County Soldiers Memorial United States Army Reserve Center located in Cumberland, MD. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and environmentally safe workplace free of debris and pests, which aligns with the Army's mission to maintain operational readiness and environmental stewardship. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, fuel, and other items necessary for refuse collection and recycling services as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key tasks include: 1. Collection of refuse and recyclables from designated containers as per the site plan. 2. Maintenance of quality control measures to ensure compliance with contract requirements. 3. Adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal. 4. Conducting services during business hours (Monday through Friday) excluding federal holidays. 5. Providing one (1) eight cubic yard dumpster serviced twice monthly at the service location. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period of 12 months with four additional 12-month option periods available for renewal based on performance and funding availability.
