Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to establish a Firm Fixed-Price contract for the Blythe Easement Wetland Reserve Easement (WRE) construction project located in Fayette County, Illinois. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the construction necessary for the conservation efforts in the area, contributing to the USDA's mission of promoting sustainable agricultural practices and natural resource conservation. Work Details The contractor is required to perform various construction tasks as outlined in the Statement of Work and attached specifications. Key tasks include: 1. Mobilization and demobilization of contractor's forces and equipment; 2. Seeding over 11 acres; 3. Excavation of approximately 12,650 cubic yards; 4. Installation of plastic pipe over 200 linear feet; 5. Earthfill involving about 21,149 cubic yards; 6. Installation of tile over 750 linear feet; and 7. Placement of riprap totaling 54 tons. The contractor must furnish all necessary personnel, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete these tasks as specified.
