The State of Hawai‘i, through the Department of Agriculture & Biosecurity, is seeking bids for the maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment at the Kahuku Agricultural Park. Work Details

The contractor will provide on-call troubleshooting, repair, and monthly maintenance services for pumps, valves, and electrical equipment at the Kahuku Agricultural Park pump station. Specific tasks include: 1. Yearly inspections and minor repairs (10 each year). 2. Annual maintenance reports (1 each year). 3. Major repairs to mechanical and electrical components or systems as approved by the State (allowance of $40,000 per year). 4. Monthly tasks include checking for excessive noise and vibrations in pumps, testing pump safeties and controls, inspecting electrical contacts, cleaning mechanical surfaces, exercising valves, lubricating motor bearings, checking SCADA system connectivity, and ensuring proper operation of all equipment. 5. Annual tasks include cleaning pump control valve inlets/outlet strainers, checking concrete pipe foundations for cracks or settling, replacing desiccants in electrical cabinets, and taking current/voltage readings on motors.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of three years from the date of written notice to proceed.

Bidder Requirements
