Liberty Lagoon Aquatic Repairs

Background

The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) is responsible for maintaining and improving recreational facilities in the area. The goal of this contract is to undertake necessary repairs and upgrades to the Liberty Lagoon aquatic facility, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards.

Work Details

The project involves the demolition and reconstruction of various components at Liberty Lagoon, specifically: - Phase 1 pumps - Variable frequency drivers - Digital flowmeters - Automation systems - Remote controls - New regenerative media filtration systems - Autofill devices - Jib cranes.

Period of Performance

The contract work is scheduled to be performed until June 2, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at Liberty Lagoon located at 111 Lobdell Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of 'Commercial Swimming Pools'. A Certified Check or Cashier’s Check payable to BREC or a satisfactory Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with each paper bid. Bidders are encouraged to utilize minority participation in this contract through small, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses.
