Commissioning Services

Background

The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide commissioning services on an as-needed basis. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the commissioning services meet the standards required for MNPS projects, particularly in relation to new construction which will follow LEED v4 guidelines.

Work Details

The contractor will provide professional commissioning services as requested by MNPS through written Purchase Orders. Services may include overseeing and witnessing contractor-performed testing and may require direct testing depending on specific project needs. The contractor is expected to respond to individual project requests within 2-3 days. All work performed under this contract will be treated as professional services rather than construction services. The contractor must adhere to safety programs and provide necessary documentation for all charges related to the work performed.

Period of Performance

The contract term will begin upon execution and can extend up to a maximum of sixty (60) months with appropriate approvals. Specific timelines for individual projects will be determined based on MNPS needs.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within the Metropolitan Nashville area as designated by MNPS.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must possess all necessary licenses, permissions, and certifications to perform under this contract. Additionally, they must maintain specified insurance coverages including General Liability, Professional Liability, and Workers' Compensation Insurance. Contractors are also required to comply with criminal background checks for employees who will have contact with students.
