GOODWOOD BLVD SIDEWALKS & BIKE PATHS (Airline Hwy. Sharp Road)

Background

The City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge is issuing a solicitation for the construction of sidewalks and bike paths along Goodwood Blvd, specifically between Airline Hwy and Sharp Road. This project aims to enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety and accessibility in the area.

Work Details

The project includes the construction of PCC (Portland Cement Concrete) sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramps, striping and signage for traffic control, driveways, brick walks and drives, along with related items of work necessary for completion.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all provisions of the State Licensing Law for Contractors (R.S. 37:2150-2163). They must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of Highway, Street and Bridge Construction. Additionally, there is a minimum goal of 14% participation from certified Eligible Business Enterprises (EBEs) under the Parish's Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SEDBE) program. Bidders must submit EBE Forms 1, 1A, and 2 within 10 days after bid opening.
