Labor, Materials, and All Incidentals Nec. to Supply&Install New Sign

Background

Jefferson Parish is seeking bids for the labor, materials, and all incidentals necessary to supply and install a new sign face replacement, LED retrofit, and new electronic message center at Mike Miley Playground. The project aims to enhance the visibility and functionality of the playground's signage, aligning with the Parish's mission to improve community facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and all other incidentals necessary for the following tasks: - Remove 2 existing Pylon Sign faces and install 2 new Pylon Sign Faces made of 3/16-inch Acrylic with Vinyl Graphics (estimated size: 144 inches width x 42 inches height). - Retrofit existing sign lighting with an LED lighting system using 2-inch x 2-inch x .125-inch Aluminum Angle Retainers. The LED lighting system shall be a 24 VDC System. - Remove the existing Electronic Message Center (EMC) and furnish/install a new 4-feet x 8-feet Watchfire Electronic Message Center (EMC) Twin Pack. This includes two single-sided full-color EMCs with a resolution of 10mm (122x244), measuring 4’0” x 8’0”. - Fabricate new frames using 3/16x2x2 inch angle iron. - Install new pole covers measuring 30 inches x 120 inches, prefinished in red. - Repair a concrete trim pad measuring 6 inches x 48 inches. - Supply all wireless equipment and software needed to operate the new EMC; the owner will provide a laptop computer for this purpose. The contractor will also install the software and wireless equipment onto the laptop.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence within ten days from the date of Notice to Proceed and must be substantially completed within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days from that date.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Mike Miley Playground located at 6716 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70003.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold a Limited Specialty License as required by Louisiana State regulations. They are also required to obtain all necessary permits from Jefferson Parish Department of Inspection and Code Enforcement prior to starting any work. Additionally, bidders must comply with Jefferson Parish's insurance requirements including worker’s compensation insurance, commercial general liability insurance, and business automobile liability insurance.
